Queennie and Queensie's 'Ling Queennie'

Kuala Kumpur, Malaysia

A favourite pasta dish usually prepared by mum. It is never boring and tastes really yummy. Special tips for preparing this dish include:
  • make sure that you don't overstir the sauce or else it will become too watery
  • wear googles when chopping the onions, garlic and shallots
  • use fresh parsley and basil
  • don't make the gammon into too big pieces or it won't fit into your mouth
  • you can use other meat in the sauce
  • drain the cooked pasta and rinse with cold water; if eaten straight away the cooled pasta doesn't need to be reheated and can be served with the hot sauce.
  • the pasta can be cooked in a thermos cooker (most Chinese people have this) to prevent overcooking of the pasta
These tips are a combination of Queennie and Queensie's own ideas and their mum's advice (guess who made up which one).

N.B: 'Ling Queennie' is a pun for 'linguine'- the type of pasta which is used for this dish.
Ling= Queensie, Queennie=Queennie
