This is a fool-proof, well-tried and tested recipe that has been used time and time again.
A (rather good-looking) teacher taught Becki how to make this pudding at school and since then, this recipe has stayed with her and is now not only the best thing that she can cook, but is her 'party piece' that is perfect for any special occassion. It is incredibily quick and easy to make and tastes great with added chocolate chips or walnuts.
On the surface, it looks just like a normal chocolate cake:
BUT....when you cut through the surface of the sponge, then you will find a rich, hot and deliciously chocolately sauce that perfectly compliments the cake.
